River Ivel Trip

This Sunday (the 24th June) we will be running a trip to the River Ivel in Bedfordshire, suitable for members who can paddle for about 3 hours and are happy to shoot small rapids.

BOAT COLLECTION: Wednesday 20th June at the club session and don’t forget to take a helmet, buoyancy aid and spray deck if you need them.

MEET: 9am at the put in (52.119921, -0.283445) – see map to River Ivel put-in.

TAKE OUT: Layby on the A1 North of Tempsford Village Hall SG19 2AW – see map to River Ivel take-out.

FINISH: About 2pm

Please bring lunch, drinks, sunblock and appropriate clothing.

The Ivel is a primarily flat paddle with 3 or 4 very nice waves (depending on water levels) to play on and a 3m drop. Details about the River Ivel.

I have also included a document with some general information on the Ivel (ignore any directions in this document).

Please let me know if you will be joining us and if you have any space in your car to transport a boat or person to the put in.
