Paddle Award: Nomad BC Paddle Start – Kayak

The final British Canoeing Paddle Award offered by Nomads, this course gives you ownership, allowing you to choose where you move next in the world of paddlesport, it includes journeying where you take a trip in your chosen craft and are required to demonstrate your ability to confidently manoeuvre your craft on lakes, canals and rivers.You need to be aged 10 or above (aged 13 or above or our October courses) and have demonstrated that you have recently attended a Nomad led Paddle Discover course.

You will also need a packed lunch for the day.

Beyond the Paddle Awards (Courses available at/through Nomads)

Rescue Emergency Care Level 1 (REC1) First Aid

Note: This course is heavily subsidised for Nomad Members.

Paddlesport Safety & Rescue Training Course (formerly FSRT)

Do you want to know what to do if either you or others fall into the water? This course will support you to consider safe practices, provide practical solutions to common issues and appropriate responses to incidents, providing peace of mind when venturing out onto the water. An essential course for the independent paddler. This course is also a prerequisite for British Canoeing Paddlesport Instructor.
