River Ivel Trip Report

Reports, Trip, Trip Reports
On Saturday the 24th of June Nomads Kayak Club took a trip to Bedfordshire, at the River Ivel. The journey up there was a long and painful one as Jenny’s car only managed to reach 40 mph on the motorway. Once we they came back and much to their dismay we were still there, we all jumped in our boats and seal launched* down the…

Rickmansworth Festival 2012 – a big thank you

News
On behalf of the NKC committee, may i thank everyone who contributed to a successful Rickmansworth Festival 2012. Across the two full days of festival action we ran numerous 'come and try it' sessions along with canoeing demonstrations, we raised our profile and made contact with many potential new members. The event is very important to our club, we need to grow and the Rickmansworth Festival is great way to engage the general public. I attended both days and was very pleased to see many club members: new members, long term members, relatives of members, everyone pulled together to make it a fun and successful event. Make no mistake, a club is nothing without its members and last weekend was a show of strength for the Nomad Kayak Club. Please…
