Yes, it’s time once again for the ever-popular Nomad weekend trip to Croyde Bay. This year it will be taking place on the 4th – 6th May.
This weekend is suitable for all club members and their families and comprises of canoe surfing / body boarding 2 hours before high tide. With a bit of luck we will be able to get two good sessions on depending on the moon.
Nick and other experienced club members will be happy to coach on the water during this time if required.
There is plenty to do in and around the area when we are not on the water. The weekend is a social weekend with lots of current and old members from the club getting together (sometimes over 50 family and friends turning up). Time off the water is not formally organised, everybody is free to come and go as they please, so there should be time enough for you to explore the local area and to spend with non-paddling friends and family who can also enjoy this weekend.
Nick is staying on Parkdean Ruda Caravan Park which has caravans and camping and will be in the bar on Friday evening if you want to join him for a beer. Ruda is set on the beautiful North Coast of Devon with its miles of spectacular beaches popular with families and surfers alike and is only a short way from the beautiful Saunton Sands.
You can contact the caravan site on 0844 335 3450 or by clicking the link below;

If you are interested in going on this trip (and I recommend that you do!) then please let me know and I will liaise with Nick and if necessary I will try to help to arrange car sharing.
If you have any questions feel free to email trips@nomadkayakclub.co.uk.
Hope you can make it,
